Man, I don’t know why it is, but I’m having a hard time eating my 5 or 6 small meals. I guess I’ve been too busy to think about mealtime every three hours. I did not go over on calories today but they were only spread out over three meals.
I got up this morning and decided I’d better get my jog in early today because of the snow but by the time I could get ready to go there was a few inches already on the roads. I have an indoor workout planned for tonight.
The past few days have been more like survival mode than weight loss mode. I hope to at least maintain what I have lost by this Thursday. One good friend pointed out that me losing 20 lbs in December is really like losing 35 lbs because most years I would have put on 15. I guess that’s true.
How are you all fairing weight-wise over the Holidays? I know it would do me some good to hear from you.

ReplyDeleteThis is the first time reading your blog and I think it is a wonderful way to try and help you lose weight. I keep telling myself it is time to lose weight, but as usual I put it off and wait until the new year. So I am going to follow your blog and hopefully it will help me lose weight also!
It hasn't hit yet, but tomorrow is the family party. I plan to consciously measure my portions, enjoy them slowly, and get my fulfillment from company rather than food. I had a little problem today--my husband wanted to take me out to eat. We both love Astro burger, so he took me there. I had a healthy sized lunch at noon, and this was about 4:00pm. Normally I don't eat a whole lot after lunch. I should have ordered a salad...He wanted to get me a combo meal, and for some reason I felt embarrassed to say I wanted the salad instead. I picked the smallest burger, got the fries, and said no to the soda pop and got water. Exercise isn't going too well. It's so busy this week. I agree that maintaining is a good goal. It's going to be a challenge for me as well.
ReplyDeleteIt is a challenging time for all of us. There is just too much good food to go around. I have found myself having to excersize more everyday because I can't seem to control myself. Luckily excersize has become part of my daily routine and I can't make it through the day without it. Keep up the good work. If you can only maintain your weight loss over this next week you will be back on your way.
